Kindergarten News for January 25th-29th

We are starting a new unit called "Day & Night, Dark & Light". This unit is designed to extend your child's knowledge of Earth, the sun, moon, stars, & their orbits. We will also read another Shared Story and your child will bring home Tam & Tad to read with you for homework. In math, we are learning about more or less than, measurement, graphing, attributes, & the number grid. We had a great time at Colossal Cave. The children were very interested in the different rock formations and especially liked the pits and holes in the cave. It was a great fieldtrip! Important Dates to Remember February 15th-19th - Love of Reading Week (details will be sent home soon) February 25th-26th - Rodeo Vacation - No School

Wednesday

• Complete Math Home Link "Show Me More".
• Have your child read Tam & Tad (provide assistance if needed) & complete the activities on the Read & Respond card.
• Practice reading flashcard words (see list above).
• Look at the night sky with your child. Have them draw a picture of the moon & stars.

Thursday

• Read to or with your child for 10-15 minutes.
• Complete math page "Recognize Patterns".
• Have your child read Tam & Tad (provide assistance if needed) & complete the activities on the Read & Respond card.
• Practice reading flashcard words (see list above).

Friday

• No homework!
